Project: Writing web content and social media updates for two WWF campaigns
WWF needed…
WWF’s in-house digital team needed support with the creation of blog posts and social media updates. As well as Facebook and Twitter updates for their large audiences, WWF wanted some original ideas and shareable content to help them spread the word about two of their campaigns.
Work included…
Writing blog posts for WWF websites, creating off-site content and planning and writing social media activity.
This involved digesting a large amount of campaign information – which was largely focused on the conservation of the environment and the protection of endangered species. The resource material was often very rich in detail but not ideal for the casual reader, so my role included the adaptation of content so it could be enjoyed and shared by WWF’s many passionate supporters online.
Articles and social updates needed to express the urgency of problems affecting the natural world, while avoiding hyperbole and maintaining factual accuracy.
Feedback from WWF…
“Working with Leif was a great experience – he got right into the subject and produced some very engaging pieces on a dry subject rapidly. We really value his skills in bringing creativity into tough briefs.”
– Adrian Cockle, Digital Innovation Manager – WWF International
